If you hadn’t already heard, there’s this guy who posted these covers under the alias “Fleet Foxes Sing”.
He basically impersonated Fleet Foxes and led people to believe that they were covering all these songs.
Apparently, the guy chose the songs thinking “it has to be believable that Fleet Foxes might actually dig the original version” and tried to avoid “things that might come across as cheesy or gimmicky”.
Seriously, the first song this guy posted was “I Wanna Dance With Somebody” by Whitney Houston.
I think I’ve made my point.
